About Wertheim:

Ever since production was started in Richmond back in 1908 it’s been a brand name recognized for making high quality pianos for the Australian market.

Many people today (particularly those who grew up in the mid 1900’s) are familiar with the piano brand Wertheim, some would have grown up with one in their home. They always have had a reputation for high quality pianos.

Although mass production of pianos in Australia stopped way back in the 1930’s, Wertheim continues to be an Australian owned company which produces beautiful pianos. Now made in China and Korea, parts and materials however are sourced from Europe which largely contribute to its warm tone, rarely found on pianos in this price bracket.
